Introducing our Fast 50 Regional Winners!

A brewery in a garage, a Mexican food chain, a high-class wedding jeweller, a money lending business and an adventure company offering high speed man-made shark rides were just a few of our fast-growth companies taking top spots in our Fast 50 regional awards on September 30.

With events in Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton, Christchurch and Dunedin, it was an action-packed night in some stellar venues with some of the country's top business talent. See the full list of regional Fast 50 winners here.

Around 350 people turned out to Shed 10 on Auckland’s waterfront where Deloitte Private’s Bill Hale and Mark Talbot charmed the crowds. Our Rising Star Auckland winner was the infamous Lewis Road Creamery who are currently dominating the world of dairy. We also had the folks from Vend up on stage for a second year – last year they were 4th on our NZ Fast 50 list and this year they took out our ‘Fastest Growing Technology Company Award’.

Mac’s Brew Bar in Wellington put its best foot forward to host our winners from the windy city. Pic’s Peanut Butter took out our ‘Fastest Growing Mature Business’ while the brew masters at Garage Project were looking chuffed at being named the ‘Fastest Growing Manufacturer’.

Hamilton was congratulating the likes of Ultrafast Fibre and MAGIQ software, while our Rising Star winner there went to one making its mark in the world of online quoting and proposal software – Quotient. See what they thought of winning here.

Dunedin was celebrating a unique ‘Rising Star One to Watch’ with Hydro Attack – if you haven’t seen what a man-made shark travelling at 80 kmph looks like then take a look here. Huge high fives went to TomTom Productions who took out ‘Fastest Growing Technology Business’   these guys are shaking up the world of event productions so go and check out their work at Rhythm & Alps last year here.

Christchurch was handing out praise to Good Honest Products, mentioning their impressive milestone of having recently produced their 500,000th macaroon - they took out ‘Fastest Growing Manufacturer’. Marlborough Grape Producers Cooperative also left feeling proud after winning two awards for the ‘Fastest Growing Agri Business’ and the ‘Fastest Growing exporter’. They were recognised for their role in offering co-op members stability in a highly competitive industry.

All winners are invited to our fantastic Fast 50 Festival at Auckland’s Villa Maria winery in November where they’ll be treated to a host of wonderful speakers (yet to be announced) with a well-known MC.

Thanks to all those who joined us at the regional celebrations – we look forward to seeing you at Villa Maria and remember to stay in the fast lane!
