Creative HQ now to offer more for start-ups

We are so excited to announce that we are partnering with Creative HQ, Wellington's start-up base, to bring accounting, business advisory and taxation services to its start-ups.

Since 2003, Creative HQ has supported and mentored hundreds of entrepreneurs as they build start-up ideas into global businesses. I was recently speaking to Creative HQ CE Stefan Korn who said, “one of the biggest obstacles for new start-ups is having to deal with finance, accounting and tax related work.

"Many first-time entrepreneurs are worried about making mistakes with their company accounts or tax obligations. As a result of the partnership with Deloitte, our entrepreneurs get top quality tax and accounting advice from day one and can focus on building the business rather than get lost in tax and accounting compliance."

Under our new partnership agreement Deloitte Private will provide services at no cost (or at reduced rates) to startups in Creative HQ's incubation programme including accounting and tax compliance, financial reporting and forecast, annual tax returns and payment of taxes.

This partnership is something we are incredibly excited about. The new businesses that Creative HQ supports are vitally important to our economy and we want to help them succeed by getting their accounting systems and tax structures right from the start. And as these businesses grow and change we have a nimble and responsive team who can grow with them too. With our local specialists and global networks, we have a lot to offer; things like raising capital, expanding overseas and good governance are vital for a fast growing business to consider - we can't wait to help.
